The Kent Law Society website Content Management System (CMS) only requires basic word-processing skills and OS knowledge to operate. The website administrator manages the Kent Law Society's members database, containing contact details and work specialties for each individual and firm. Website visitors can search the database on the Find a Solicitor page. The administrator can update SEO-related data on every page (Link text, document title, document description meta and page title). Changes are saved automatically via AJAX. If a save operation fails (network connectivity issues or server error) the CMS directly informs the user of the problem.

The administrator can create and delete pages, and can also re-order the navigation links with a simple drag & drop operation. The CMS relies on a defensive AJAX strategy: if a network issue or server problem is detected, the user is informed straight away. The metadata editor offers the possibility to edit various SEO-related parameters, such as the text appearing on menu links, page title, page description, keywords, and the robots meta. The administrator can also choose to show or hide adverts, social network buttons, and header navigation.
